Michels, Nick

Department: Regulatory Science

Mr. Michels is a seasoned attorney with a background in public service. He previously served as a Senior Deputy State’s Attorney for the Minnehaha County State’s Attorney’s Office and as a Staff Attorney for the SD Department of Revenue. His experience includes negotiating and drafting contracts, developing legislation and administrative rules, and extensive litigation. Mr. Michels earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Ave Maria School of Law and also holds a Master of Arts in John Paul II Studies and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Philosophy and Catholic Studies.
