Once you’re within a few miles of Yankton, you’ll see the steeple of Bishop Marty Chapel on the skyline. Here’s how to get to that spectacular view:

Directions from U.S. Interstate 29*

Exit U.S. Interstate 29 on Highway 50 and proceed about 30 miles west into Yankton. Follow Highway 50 (4th Street) through the city until it meets Highway 81 (Broadway) in downtown Yankton. At that juncture, continue west on Fourth Street. Take the curve around the Duck Pond (Westside Park). Then take a left on 8th Street, and you’ll arrive at MMU's main entrances.

Arriving on U.S. Highway 81 or S.D. Highway 50*

Highways 81 and 50 intersect in downtown Yankton at Fourth Street. At that corner, go west on Fourth Street. Take the curve around Westside Park (watch for ducks on the road), take a left on 8th Street, and you’ll arrive at MMU's main entrances.

Arriving by bus or plane*

If you are flying or traveling by Greyhound bus, the closest airports are located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Sioux City, Iowa. Both cities are about an hour away by car. Some travelers also use the Omaha airport, which is about 2.5 hours away by car.

ARRIVING FROM THE north:

1. Turn right and take ramp onto I-29 S toward US-81 S/Watertown.
2. Take exit 177 toward US-212/Watertown/Kranzburg.
3. Turn right onto 9th Ave SE (US-212).
4. Turn right onto Willow Creek Dr.
5. Continue on 1st Ave NE.
6. Turn right onto 11th St NE.
7. Turn right onto Arrow Ave NE.

ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTH:

1. Take exit 177 toward US-212/Watertown/Kranzburg.
2. Turn left onto 9th Ave SE (US-212).
3. Turn right onto Willow Creek Dr.
4. Continue on 1st Ave NE.
5. Turn right onto 11th St NE.
6. Turn right onto Arrow Ave NE.

ARRIVING FROM THE east:

1. Take US Highway 212 and drive east.
2. Turn right onto Willow Creek Dr.
3. Continue on 1st Ave NE.
4. Turn right onto 11th St NE.
5. Turn right onto Arrow Ave NE.

ARRIVING FROM THE WEST:

1. Take US Highway 212 and drive east.
2. Turn left onto 11th St NE.
3. Turn right onto Arrow Ave NE.
