Mount Marty University gathered on Friday, July 24, at St. Mary’s Church in Sioux Falls to celebrate the Class of 2028 Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) students at the program's annual Blessing of the Hands ceremony. The traditional gathering marks a pivotal rite of passage for the students as they transition from classroom instruction to clinical rotations.

Surrounded by family, friends, and faculty, the cohort participated in a service featuring scripture readings, prayer, and words of encouragement. The Blessing of the Hands serves as a meaningful affirmation of the compassion, skill, and spiritual foundation required in advanced practice nursing, dedicating the hands that will soon deliver critical care to patients across the region.

As the Class of 2028 steps into clinical practice, the Mount Marty community celebrates their dedication and hard work to date. The university looks forward to supporting these future nurse anesthetists as they continue to grow into exceptional healthcare professionals guided by faith and service.
