Campus Safety Line
The Campus Safety Phone (605-661-9883) is operational 24/7 365 days a year. Campus Safety provides students, staff, and faculty with an avenue to report criminal activity on or around campus. Callers can leave information anonymously or leave their name and contact information for officers to follow up.
Campus Safety works closely with all law enforcement in the Yankton area. If you know of a crime that occurred off campus, you can provide information anonymously to the Yankton Police Department by calling Crime Stoppers at 605-665-4440. If your information leads to an arrest or concluding an investigation, you may receive a reward of up to $1,000.00.

Emergency Medical Services
Campus Safety is a first responder for medical emergencies on campus. Medical emergencies on campus are also handled by Yankton Emergency Medical Services.
Campus Safety officers are trained in basic first aid. AEDs are located around campus.
Fire Safety
Annually, Campus Safety and Facilities provides many ways to improve fire safety on campus, including:
- Fire Extinguisher Training
- Fire Drills
- Participation in September Campus Fire Safety Month
- Working in conjunction with the Yankton Fire Department
Motorist Assistance
Staff, faculty, and students who need a jumpstart for their vehicle may call the Campus Safety Office at 605-661-9883.
Personal Safety Escort
A personal safety escort service is available to faculty, staff, and students 24 hours a day. Campus Safety prefers to schedule the escort in advance by calling 605-661-9883.
