Spring Break 2021: Irish Heritage Tour

  • The Irish Landscape

  • Birds of Beaumaris Castle

Expand your horizons.

If you’re looking for an institution with a broader view of the world, you’ve come to the right place. At Mount Marty, you can engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds. We believe exposure to other cultures makes for better lifelong learning — one of our four Catholic Benedictine values. We want students who are passionate about serving others in an increasingly diverse population. Based on this core value, we organize annual trips to Europe, and our groups always include a combination of Mount Marty University students and their extended families, alums, and travelers from the broader Yankton community. Students can enroll in ART 260: Art and Architecture in Europe, to gain academic credit for the trip.

March 5- March 13, 2021

Irish Heritage Tour: Dublin, Cork, Blarney, Kinsale, Killarney.

Fly from Sioux Falls to Ireland to spend a delightful nine days exploring the shops and restaurants of Dublin and Cork, the spectacular oceanfront mountains of The Ring of Kerry, the picturesque castles of Cashel and Blarney, and the wide-open, rolling green of the Irish countryside. We will see the Book of Kells at Trinity College, visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, tour the Kerry Bog Village Museum, and learn about the 1916 Rebellion with an expert guide. And, on city streets and country lanes we will soak in the warm culture and unique atmosphere of the Emerald Isle.

We travel through Education First and the cost of the program is almost all-inclusive, including our flights from Sioux Falls, hotel accommodations, in-country transportation, all entrances & activities, breakfast and a few dinners. You’ll just want to bring spending money for tips, some meals, and your free time!
