Student Government Association

The Student Government Association is the student governing board that serves as a voice for the Mount Marty student body. This group of hardworking leaders meets weekly to address the needs and concerns of fellow students, advocate for various causes, and make the student experience the best it can be. Our three primary objectives are:
  1. Provide for the organized conduct of student activities and promote the general welfare of its members, to represent at all times the rights, needs, and desires of its membership.
  2. Promote a better understanding between the university administration and its students' needs.
  3. Ensure each student a means of expressing his/her opinions and views on matters which concern the individual and/or the university community.
Not only do we serve as advocates, we also create intentional and fun programs for the entire student body. SGA is proud to sponsor late night and weekend activities such as carnivals, hypnotists, dodgeball tournaments, and various other events throughout the year. We bring the fun onto the campus of MMU! Want to get involved? Email sga@mountmarty.edu to find out how!

The membership of the organization shall be accorded to all students enrolled in Mount Marty University.

The executive officers of SGA shall be the President, Vice-President, Secretary, & Business Manager. Voting for these positions take place in April with their term starting June 1.

Senators-Senators are student representatives voted by their peers to be their voice. Six representatives from each class (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior), six non-traditional representatives, and two residence life representatives also make up the legislative branch of SGA.
