This year, the Alumni Reunion and Homecoming will be celebrated on the same weekend during Lancer Days 2022! Alumni events for Lancer Days will be October 28-30, 2022 in Yankton, SD. Schedule details are below where you can also register for weekend events, shop for Lancer gear, or submit a parade application.

Join your fellow classmates for a panel lecture of Mount Marty stories and memories. this year's featured panelists will include S. Joyce Feterl '74, Dr. Kathy Magorian '97, and Chuck Iverson. Registration encouraged. Lunch will be available for purchase.

After the history lesson, take a tour of campus to spark memories from your time in Bede, Corbey, and Roncalli. Visit the new Avera Science and Nursing Lab, which features a Nursing School Timeline with an interactive yearbook. Lastly, be sure to stop by the newly renovated Cimpl Arena and the new Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse. Schedule your tour by contacting the alumni office at

As you arrive in Yankton, get settled and then join us on campus for a welcome reception. Look through old photos, archives, and newspaper clippings while you mingle with classmates and take a class photo. Registration fee of $10 required. Heavy appetizers and drinks will be provided.

honor guard breakfast

Time & Location: 8:30 a.m. at Meridian Venue (Former Hatch Furniture Building) 109 E 3rd St, Yankton, SD

The esteemed Honor Guard is reserved for those who graduated in 1972 or earlier. As a member of the Honor Guard, you will be recognized with the official Honor Guard pin at a special Saturday morning breakfast with classmates. A registration fee of $10 required. Breakfast will be provided.

Time & Location: 9:30 a.m., Meridian District, Downtown Yankton

This year, the Lancer Days Parade will celebrate Harvest Homecoming! Consider getting your classmates together to have your own parade entry--a float, vintage cars, or as parade-walkers. If you’d rather enjoy the parade from the sidewalk, meet us along the parade route on 3rd Street in downtown Yankton. Be sure to wear your blue and gold or your Harvest Halloween costume! After the parade, stay downtown with your family to enjoy Yankton’s Harvest Halloween (more details below!).

Time & Location: 10 a.m. at Memorial Park

Are you ready for some football? Us too! Bring your lawn chairs, coolers, and favorite tailgating snacks to Memorial Park for a pre-game tailgate. We’ll meet you there with food trucks, music, games for kids, and plenty of school spirit. 


Time & Location: All day, Downtown Yankton

After the parade, take some time to reacquaint yourself with downtown Yankton by visiting the many old and new shops in the Meridian District. Not up for shopping? Instead, be sure to walk across the Meridian Bridge to enjoy the beauty of the Missouri River. This year, Lancer Days coincides with Yankton's annual fall festival, Harvest Halloween! The event is a free, family-fun event reinforcing community spirit while supporting local business, food, music, art, and children's activities.


Time & Location: All day, Yankton

If tailgating and football aren’t your thing, then consider signing up for a local tour. We can arrange tours of Mount Marty, Sacred Heart Hospital, the Mead Cultural Education Center, which includes a permanent exhibit on Yankton State Hospital, or any other old stomping ground of yours. We’re leaving Saturday evening open just for you and your classmates! Groups could meet up at Charlie’s for pizza or Czeckers for wings. Or maybe you’d prefer to rendezvous at the Ice House or Ben’s. There are plenty of options in Yankton, and we’re here to help you make those plans!

Return to campus for Sunday morning mass celebrated by Fr. Grant Lacey in the beautiful Bishop Marty Chapel. At the end of mass, the annual alumni awards will be presented. This year, we will be honoring the following individuals:

Time & Location: Reception at 12 p.m. near Marian Lobby in Bede Art Gallery and Whitby Lounge. Program at 12:30 p.m. in Marian Auditorium.

Our jam-packed weekend will end with the annual Fine Arts Hall of Fame. The reception starts at noon (or the conclusion of the Alumni Mass) outside of Marian Auditorium. At 12:30 p.m., attendees will experience Fine Arts performances intermixed with the Hall of Fame inductions. Join us as we recognize and celebrate the success of the following Hall of Fame inductees:
