Incoming Freshmen

If you're looking for a degree that will prepare you to be a future leader in your career and, more importantly, in life, you've come to the right place.

Our students are inquisitive, caring, and purpose driven. They work to help others and dive headfirst into solving problems, experimenting with new ideas, and serving others. The Mount Marty community's role is to guide students on their career paths and in every aspect of life, always inspiring them with the Catholic Benedictine values of lifelong learning, awareness of God, hospitality, and community. Our big, tree-shaded campus overlooking the majestic Missouri River is beautiful and timeless, and so is our shared mission of academics and service.

We are honored and happy that you’ve chosen to look into attending Mount Marty University. Attending a Catholic university has so many benefits, and our students and alumni are happy to tell you why they think so too: Just read one of their stories. We strive to make you feel welcome and prepared to succeed. Our entire community is dedicated to ensuring that you have a good experience during and after your time here.

Are you worried about the cost? Don't be. Our financial aid experts work hard to make sure Mount Marty is one of the most affordable private Catholic universities in South Dakota. One-hundred percent of our students receive financial aid offers in the form of scholarships, grants, and/or traditional loans. In addition, a specially monitored advising program and dedicated advisors have established a four-year degree completion plan to help students attain their degrees in a timely manner. Our financial aid team has over 25 years of experience serving not only at MMU but also as leaders of nationally recognized associations.
