Mount Marty University Announces 2024 Alumni Award Recipients

Mount Marty University is proud to announce the 2024 Alumni Award Recipients. These individuals were chosen by the Mount Marty Alumni Association based on their loyalty, service, leadership, and showcasing of the Mount Marty values in their lives.

The following awards will be given to the recipients during the Alumni Honors Luncheon on Saturday, September 21 at 11:30 a.m. at the Meridian Venue located at 109 E 3rd Street in downtown Yankton during the annual Lancer Days weekend:

  • Emily Jo Bronemann '14 will be awarded the Outstanding Young Alumna award.
  • The Distinguished Service to Church and Community award will be given to Bethany (Bakker) Buitenbos '11.
  • Jason Nelson '00 will be awarded the Distinguished Service to Mount Marty award.
  • The Distinguished Professional Achievement award for an Undergraduate Degree will be awarded to Colonel Kathleen (Bares) Clary '93.
  • Kristi Steffen '17 will be given the Distinguished Professional Achievement award for a Graduate Degree.
