MMC Hosts 30th Annual Business Community Prayer Breakfast

Mount Marty College (MMC) will host its 30th annual Business Community Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. The interdenominational prayer breakfast will explore the topic of “Faith Principles in Business Practices,” with a presentation by Doug Ekeren, Regional President and CEO of Avera Sacred Heart.

Mr. Ekeren is the Regional President and CEO of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in the Yankton region and has been since 2014. Prior to that, he held various Vice President positions within Avera Sacred Heart Hospital from 1993 to 2014. From 1988 to 1992, he was the CEO of Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Viborg, SD. Doug is a native of Gayville, South Dakota.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of South Dakota and a Masters in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Doug currently serves on the Yankton Area Progressive Growth Board and the Make-A-Wish of South Dakota Board, and the South Dakota Board of Technical Education.

Open to the public; the Business Community Prayer Breakfast will run from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, in the Roncalli Center Main Dining Room on MMC’s Yankton campus.
