Before joining the faculty at Mount Marty College, Sr. Bonita worked in Software Design at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO.  Since coming to Mount Marty College, Gacnik has served as a faculty member and the Director of I.T.  Currently, Sr. Bonita is the Program Director of the Department of Mathematical Sciences and is a full professor, tenured.  Her special interest areas lie in the computational sciences, discrete mathematics, and in the mathematics associated with algebra (abstract and linear), as well as set and mapping theory.
