Mount Marty Announces 2023 Alumni Awards Recipients

Mount Marty University (MMU) is proud to announce the 2023 Alumni Awards recipients. Each year, the Mount Marty Alumni Association grants four awards to MMU graduates who either exemplify the University mission in their life, exhibit notable service to their church or community, reflect honor upon the university through continued interest and support, or demonstrate leadership and commitment to continued education in their chosen profession.

The following individuals will be awarded at the Alumni Honors Luncheon on Saturday, September 30, 2023:

• The Outstanding Young Alumni Award: Holly (Byrkeland) Carter ‘13, ‘17

• The Distinguished Service to Church and Community Award: David Schmidt ‘76

• The Distinguished Service to Mount Marty University Award: Sandra (Neuroth) Brown ‘72

• The Distinguished Professional Achievement Award, Undergraduate: Victoria Walker ‘93

• The Distinguished Professional Achievement Award, Graduate: Chris Bender ‘95, ‘05, ‘19

At the Alumni Honors Luncheon, the following groups will be honored: classes celebrating milestone anniversaries, the 2023 Alumni Award Recipients, and any alumni who are celebrating 50+ year-anniversaries with the official Honor Guard pin.
