What is the President's Society?

December 14, 2022

The President’s Society recognizes individuals and businesses who contribute a total of $1,000 or more during the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). Gifts are welcome to be directed toward any area of the donor's choice. The generous members who make up this annual society serve as a strong foundation of support for Mount Marty University and our students.

One of these generous members is Mount Marty alumnus Bob Kappel. When asked why he and his wife choose to support Mount Marty, Bob explained,

"Mount Marty College gave me a great education that prepared me for the working world. Shortly after graduation, I decided to begin contributing small amounts to Mount Marty. I thought these contributions were trivial and probably meaningless. To my surprise the Mount Marty staff always seemed grateful for our small contribution, so we never felt ashamed and continued this practice. As time went on, we raised our contributions little by little. Eventually we felt that Mount Marty deserved to be a fixed part of our tithing to the Lord. Just like an athlete, artist or laborer who uses muscle memory to be successful, we found that these small acts became a habit of our memory and spiritual gratitude."

In appreciation of this support, members ike Bob receive special mailings, event invites, and recognition, incliding:

  • Exclusive Updates from the President's Office.
  • Invitation to President's Society and Scholarship Dinner.
  • Listing in Annual Program.
  • Listing in the Mount Marty Magazine.
  • Invitation to special arts and athletic events and receptions.
