Military Benefits

If you have served in our country’s armed forces, you may be eligible for special benefits at Mount Marty. Current veteran benefits include:

  • Chapter 35 - Veteran's dependent (spouse, surviving spouse, or child)
  • Chapter 33 - Post 9/11 GI Bill
  • Chapter 31 - Vocational rehabilitation
  • Chapter 30 - Montgomery GI Bill - Active duty
  • Chapter 1607 - Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP)
  • Chapter 1606 - Montgomery GI Bill SR or National Guard
  • Yellow Ribbon Program

If you’ve never received veterans’ education benefits before:

  • Visit www.gibill.va.gov
  • Complete application (form number 22-1990)
  • Print and sign application
  • Provide a copy of form 22-1990 to our registrar's office
  • Submit the veterans’ education benefits information form to our registrar's office
  • Notify the registrar when registration for classes is complete each semester
  • The registrar will submit enrollment verification on your behalf

If you have received veterans’ education benefits at a previous school and are transferring to Mount Marty University:

  • Visit www.gibill.va.gov
  • Complete change of program or place of training application (form number 22-1995)
  • Print and sign application
  • Provide a copy of form 22-1995 to our registrar's office
  • Submit the veterans’ education benefits information form to registrar's office
  • Notify the registrar when registration for classes is complete each semester
  • The registrar will submit enrollment verification on your behalf

If you are receiving vocational rehabilitation assistance:

  • You must complete vocational rehabilitation career counseling with a VA case manager
  • Provide a copy of form 28-1905 to our registrar's office
  • Submit the veterans’ education benefits information form to registrar's office
  • Notify the registrar when registration for classes is complete each semester
  • The registrar will submit enrollment verification on your behalf

If you have a change in registration or have any withdraw or a change in your major, you must inform the registrar. 

Mount Marty University is a military friendly institution. All students eligible for educational benefits from the Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) must submit a copy of their VA Certificate of Eligibility and the MMU Education Benefit Information form to the Certifying Official in the Registrar's Office. The Certifying Official will process individual enrollment verifications each term and inform the financial assistance and business offices of the benefit. 

Students receiving GI Bill and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment benefits and have a certificate of Eligibility (COE) or VAF 28-1905 on file with the MMC Registrar's Office will automatically receive a deferment on tuition and fee payment until payment arrives from the VA. 

Return of Military Tuition Assistance will be in accordance with the institution's policy.
