Monica (Wiltgen) Heitgen attended Mount Marty College from 1942 to 1943 and then received her diploma in nursing from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1946. After her passing in 2014, she left a legacy through a gift to Mount Marty College and future nursing students.

It’s no secret that Mount Marty College (MMC) has been attempting to increase its presence in the Yankton community. This is a goal best accomplished through collaboration with other community entities. One such entity is United Way, which benefits the community through various volunteer services.

Leadership Institute Set To Inspire At MMC

Joe Rutten sees Mount Marty College (MMC) as a place filled with promise. This is evident with the Benedictine Leadership Institute (BLI). Run by Rutten, the BLI will be formally take effect this fall by offering courses on leadership at a personal and spiritual level.
