The following resources are from agencies outside Mount Marty College. We encourage you to take a look at each one as they all have different qualifications and deadlines. You are required to report any outside resource to the school's financial aid office. If you fail to report an outside resource, you may be required to repay the school or the government all or part of your need-based financial aid package.

SOUTH DAKOTA BANKERS FOUNDATION
AMOUNT:  VARIED

The South Dakota Bankers Foundation is offering five different scholarships, ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 to current college juniors entering their senior year. Applicants are asked to provide details about their future goals, leadership experiences, community service, and other stand-out qualities in addition to two letters of recommendation. YANKTON MEDICAL CLINIC
AMOUNT:  $1,000

This scholarship is available to students currently enrolled in a laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, or nursing program, as well as high school seniors intending to major in a health care field. To be eligible, students must live within the Yankton Medical Clinic service area and intend on returning to work within a 50 mile radius of Yankton. MOMENTUM HEALTH AND WELLNESS SCHOLARSHIP

Momentum Outdoor Gear wants to promote the importance of learning and practicing healthy habits. Students who are passionate about a healthy lifestyle are encouraged to submit a 500-1000 word essay discussing a practical approach to a healthy lifestyle during high school or college and how these habits can be sustained over a lifetime. Mattress Nerd has been paying attention to the many voices of students across the globe who have recently been calling for a change in our living habits and the way we consume and recycle. They are working in an industry where new technology is being developed all of the time to ensure that mattresses will be longer-lasting and produced with more environmental materials, and we want to ensure that our readership understands the options available to them to be mindful with their mattress disposal. They would love to hear from more students with a dedication to sustainability and conscientious buying so we can build on our own knowledge and be a contributor to offering an insight on how people can live more environmentally friendly. The best essay will be awarded with a $1000 scholarship for their contribution to this important cause. 1000 DREAMS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The 1000 Dreams Scholarship provides one-time educational assistance for high school or college-aged women throughout the US. This scholarship is not intended to fund tuition or daily expenses; 1000 dreams aims to be used for educational opportunities beyond the classroom, including funding books, graduate exam application fees, textbooks, conference expenses, creative pursuits, or other related expenses. LORI ANN SCHREMPP MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP
AMOUNT:  $500
DEADLINE: 4/15/2020

The Lori Ann Schrempp Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in 2002 in memory of Lori, who had been a nurse at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital for over 22 years. The scholarship is awarded to students who are continuing their education to become a registered nurse, with preference given to non-traditional students. Students must be in their 3rd or 4th year of a B.S.N. program or 1st or second year of an associates program. They must be a resident of one of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital's 15 county service area, which includes Yankton. See the attached form for the application and additional details: here. 

 

Richard Hagen-Minerva Harvey memorial Scholarship 
AMOUNT:  $1,000-$2,500
DEADLINE: 4/15/2020

The Richard Hagen-Minerva Harvey Memorial Scholarship is for students who are enrolled members of an American Indian tribe, with award value fluctuating depending on the student's year. Scholarship recipients must be full-time students and maintain a 2.5 GPA. WALTER N. & DOROTHY D. GRAHAM SCHOLARSHIP
AMOUNT: VARIED
DEADLINE: 6/1/2020

The Walter N. and Dorothy D. Graham Scholarship Trust is designed to provide scholarships to students that are South Dakota residents attending accredited four-year nursing programs at South Dakota Colleges and Universities. Dangers of Vaping Scholarship
AMOUNT: $2,500
DEADLINE: 6/15/2020

The Dangers of Vaping scholarship is available to all students currently enrolled in a college or university, who are in good academic standing, and hold a minimum GPA of 3.0. To apply, write a 1000-word essay on the following topic: What are the dangers of vaping and why do you choose not to vape? THE MASCULINE DEVELOPMENT FITNESS SCHOLARSHIP

Masculine Development is proud to announce this year’s Fitness Scholarship Program! Elmer C. Anderson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and who will be in their junior or senior year during the 2020 school year are eligible for this scholarship.
